Alissa Leigh is a fine art painter based in Bedford, NY, known for her dynamic abstract compositions. From a young age, she was captivated by the emotional power of color and its ability to influence mood and perception. Her work is deeply influenced by the psychology of color as well as her time living and studying in New York City.
Leigh’s process is intuitive and deeply personal, using abstraction as a means to channel her emotions, regardless of her mood. With sweeping brushstrokes, gestural marks, and vibrant color, she transforms any negativity or tension into energy-filled works that become powerful focal points in their environments. Her art reflects both a commitment to emotional expression and a desire to create positive, dynamic energy through each piece.
Primarily working with acrylics, Leigh also incorporates collage elements, oils, spray paint, markers, and pastels to add depth and texture to her compositions. Her works are held in private collections across the United States, as well as in Germany and Hungary. Leigh has exhibited in numerous group shows in New York and Connecticut, and her work was featured at the prestigious Armonk Outdoor Art Show in 2023 and 2024. She has also held two highly successful solo exhibitions at Chroma Fine Art Gallery in Katonah, NY.
